When I started going out with my (then) boyfriend, if I stayed at his house, I offered to help cook dinner for his mum, or help wash up after dinner. I made a point of taking some time to chat with his parents.
My son’s girlfriend comes to our house. They lock themselves in his bedroom and only come out to get food. Or go to the toilet. They are both 18.
This has always annoyed me and I have spoken to my son about it a number of times but to no avail.
Recently the girlfriend decided to tell one of my other children that she would have more respect for me and my husband if we “got off our asses and got jobs”.
I don’t need to explain myself to a bitchy little 18 year old but my husband is on disability pension due to injuring his back at work. Yes, we receive government payments to help us but I also receive income comes from various online jobs. I don’t plan to go back into the work force until my youngest child starts school. Like I did with each of my children.
Maybe she should get onto her boyfriend (my son) to get a job. Because sure as fuck, the “nagging” I do isn’t working.
I don’t know who she thinks she is, thinking that she can say that to my children. Did she think that my children would not tell me what she says about us?
She is not welcome in my home until she apologies for being so disrespectful.

I have the same thing. Girlfriend comes over,stays,stays,stays... Eats,showers,and sits on my couch texting all day like she's royalty.Never helps with housework or even acts like she's enjoying herself. I tell my son,please tell her she needs to go to her own home.She goes home,stays about 12 hours and makes some excuse to come over again.It is driving me insane.I told son he has one month to get out,and please take your luggage with you.No one should make you feel miserable in your home...go away!!!

ReplyDeleteWe allowed my sons girlfriend to move in with us, she was having problems with her step dad! So for 7 mo. She stayed with us, within those 7 mo. She has been so rude to me, she plays mind games with him, and with me, she's spoiled, he drives her everywhere, she would follow him to college stay in the guest room while he attended his classes, she would text me on how I didn't need to talk to my son and ask questions about her, she was given chores she would never do them! She hated my rules, therefore would disrespect me with text of telling me of my mistakes with my son! Now she's not allowed over to our house! I do not like her, she's 17 my sons 19 she never apologises for anything, it's everyone else's fault but hers! We paid for her spring break trip 100 % with us bc she couldn't afford it! Maybe it's our fault for allowing her to dictate my sons life, which by the way, she would take his phone with her so she would know that he couldn't talk to anyone while she was at school, so I spoke up told her she had to leave, and she didn't hesitate to say what she wanted to me, which was very hurtful and my son says he's torn, but honestly he sees that it hurts me, and he hugs me says he's sorry, but I can tell she's that controlling of him bc he's scared of telling her no, he was scared of asking for his phone back, he was scared of just telling her NO! This relationship will end if I have anything to do with it! We are such nice people would do anything for anyone, obviously we did so much for her and she just drained our heart! Sadden by her blindness, on how she treats us including my son!
